As with Avian Sunshine, these baby robins were sculpted as a part of a commission.  Each sculpture is basically one-of-a-kind,
as the nests must be constructed individually out of vines, leaves, grass, twine, etc., which I then coat in wax.  This is then sent
through the foundry, where the vegetative matter is ‘burned-out’ inside of the ceramic shell, creating a space for the bronze to be
poured into the shell.  As each ‘nest’ is unique, the size and shape dictates how the individual baby robins are placed (and
welded) into it. One of these sculptures has been purchased (along with the Mother robin) for the permanent collection of The
Wildlife Experience Museum in Parker, Co.
